Ever wondered what an Equine Photo Shoot would have looked like in the 1950s?

I adore all things vintage & after doing last year’s “Illuminate” shoot, featuring a stunning 1920’s Flapper dress (image shown to the right if you missed the blog about that shoot) I felt very inspired to explore different Fashions through time.

The 1950s seemed a great place to start (with a couple of other shoots based on this period planned over the coming months). For this shoot, the outfit was a 1950s interpretation of the “ready to ride” clothing theme.

We were so lucky to have access to the most beautiful traditional yard, which really was perfect for the period being represented.

As well as the traditional yard, we also found a traditional cultivator, which worked beautifully in a selection of images, reflecting the time period.

When the golden evening light shone through the trees, it was time to capture a selection of images with a fully natural backdrop.
