A Recap of Winter 2023/24

I think if you speak to any equestrian in the UK, they will confirm that this winter has been tough! I have never know a winter so wet & my fields now represent swamps, despite being on top of a hill. Even as I write this, the rain is pouring, but between the storms, there have been brief moments of quiet & beauty.

This year I have had to monitor the forecast more than ever, to ensure that when the opportunity has arisen, I can get out and do what I love – working with lovely people and their horses.

So here is a recap of all of the wonderful shoots I have done this winter.

The winter shoots commenced with my Christmas video in collaboration with Welligogs, the story of two sisters who discover a Christmas table, hidden in the forrest while they are out hacking.

The second shoot of this winter was with Meg Elphick & her gorgeous mare Wilma, who had just arrived from Ireland. With the swift approach of Christmas, we had to feature this beautiful coat!

Shoot three & a trip down to the cotswolds for a brilliant day with the Brotherton family, shooting for Husk Horses.

The next shoot was with my own handsome boy, modelling for Le Mieux in their gorgeous Kudos rug on a very frosty morning.

And with the period of cold weather continuing, next was a frosty morning liberty shoot with a beautiful grey mare.

The following morning, there was snow on the ground & I had the most magical shoot with Iris and her two beautiful grey connemaras. This was the perfect way to conclude photo shoots for 2023.

2024 & the year kicked off with another gorgeous frost shoot with Meg and Joe.

Making the most of another frosty morning, the following day was a brilliant shoot on Cannock Chaise, with the Welligogs team, shooting their Autumn/Winter 24 collection.

A shoot with the very handsome Felix, before his trip over to America, where he is now training as a para dressage horse.

Another shoot for Husk & I just had to feature this image of superstar George the cat, who loves riding the horses.

A shoot with Cooke Coachbuilders, to promote their absolutely stunning 50th Anniversary lorry.

A shoot with Tracy Langley, to promote her work with horses, within her energy alignment business.

A shoot with Bridget & Victoria for Holland Cooper’s equestrian range.

A wonderful shoot with Rebecca & Ruby Hughes with Classic Goldstrike.

Capturing a gorgeous foggy morning in the Cheshire countryside. I love how the earthy tones came out in this series of images, especially with them being taken on a morning that many would dismiss as a day for a photo shoot.

And finally, what a way to conclude the winter shoots!! The most magical frost shoot. Unfortunately many of the images from this shoot can’t be shared yet, as it was a commercial shoot of products which are yet to be released, but I did capture a series of liberty shots too which I am so glad I can share with you!

And that concludes winter for another year – between the rain showers, there really have been some magical shoots!
