This week is bringing that spring feeling! There is warmth in the sun, the hedgerows are springing into life, with fresh green leaves & the trees will soon follow!
Now is the perfect time to get start planning your spring outfits. You can choose three outfits for your photo shoot & this blog has some great inspiration for you!
The casual country look is always a popular option for spring photo shoots. A smart pair of jeans and shirt bring a relaxed style to your images, drawing the focus onto the connection between horse & rider.
Spring is a wonderful season, as fresh green leaves bring new life to trees & hedgerows that have been bare for the months before. Unlike a summer shoot, however, the temperatures can be variable & so including a woollen jumper with a country styled look can be a great option. This is something which can be added very easily to the previous style to develop variety within your final gallery.
All of these outfit styles work perfectly for children & their ponies too!
Tweed blazers are one of my personal favourite additions to a country style outfit and also a very popular option. As mentioned at the start of this blog, you can include three outfits in your photo shoot, but you can add and remove accessories, such as a hat to one outfit, to bring more variety.
Spring also brings the option for summer dresses! with a huge variety of styling options for this outfit, depending on the dress style – you can consider adding a belt or hat (as Sophie has here).
For those really wanting to try something different – the “going to the ball style” is a wonderful opportunity to bring out a glamorous ballgown or even your wedding dress.
Particularly for equestrian professionals, having one of their three outfits in riding gear is often popular, maybe even for some ridden shots like Bridget, in a beautiful location. Smart or even competition wear work very well for shots like this.
