I frequently share sneak peaks from photo shoots, both through my blog and on social media, but I thought thes would be a great blog for those wondering what a full photo shoot gallery looks like.
All images featured here were taken on a lovely shoot last week, with Rosie & her gorgeous gelding Silenos.
The shoot took place at Rosie’s yard & featured three outfits. After doing a location scout, we planned an area of focus for each outfit. The summer dress was a particular favourite, so we used multiple locations with this. Final shoot galleries for a classic horse & owner shoot usually include approximately 100 images. This total number of images in this gallery is 124.
OUTFIT 1
Our focus area for outfit 1 was a big field past the paddocks, with long grass, several trees & a farmer’s track.

OUTFIT 2
This beautiful Holland Cooper trench coat is such a statement piece & we thought it would perfectly fit with the Fine Art style. Rosie’s yard has a big indoor area, which was just ideal for capturing these shots! The evening sunlight was flooding in, making these shots even more dramatic & we disturbed the arena surface to lift some of the dust, making these shots even more dynamic.
There was an also a dark green hedge outside, which we used to match the black watch tartan of the trench coat and trousers.

Outfit 3
It’s early April, so summer dresses are starting to feature in shoots again. With this outfit, we did a couple of fine art images & then used a couple of areas around the yard, including the hay barn, driveway and lane at the end of the driveway. Towards the end of the shoot, as the sun lowered in the sky, we had the most beautiful golden light.

Unplanned Images
As well as all of these images, I always take a few unplanned photos, either a funny moment or unplanned quite capture between horse & owner.
