The current weather is certainly bringing that spring feeling & I can’t wait for the 2025 spring photo shoot season to begin!
Spring photo shoots really are magical & there are a few reasons I particularly love them
1 – Spring is the season when nature awakens from its winter slumber. Vibrant blossoms burst into life, painting the landscape with a kaleidoscope of colours, from soft pastels to vivid hues. Every few weeks, new and beautiful flowers can be found, creating an ever changing backdrop. Magnolia, Cherry blossom & bluebells are among my favourites.
2 – Fly season hasn’t yet commenced! Although in the evenings you may have some flies and midges, overall there won’t be too many until mid to late May, which is perfect for those horses who can be more sensitive.
3 – glossy summer coats. Although all horse’s coats come through at slightly different times – I find that most horses often look their best from mid to late April. That fresh new summer coat truly looks spectacular, with rich colours and a glossy sheen.
4 – Event season is just around the corner – The horses are looking their best & are competition ready, but as the season isn’t in full swing, it makes scheduling in a photo shoot much easier, before your diary fills up with events over the summer.
5 – There are some wonderful warm spring days, but the temperatures never rise too high. This means that any outfit you have in mind can work perfectly, wether that be a floaty dress or woollen jumper or jacket.
