Deep in the woods, where shadows play,
A ghostly figure glides away,
Her horse, a phantom of the darkest night,
For those who see her tell of the sight.
A candelabra held in the ghost’s pale hand,
Its flickering flames, a shimmering band,
Casting golden light on the toughened trees,
As the wind hums softly, a spectral breeze.
Each step they take, the leaves sigh low,
Rustling secrets of long ago,
The forest, alive with stories untold,
Of love, loss, and treasures of old.
Together they travel, beneath the vast sky,
In a land where the brave dare to pry
For in this enchanted, ethereal place,
The ghost and her horse find solace and grace.

For the past 5 years, every Halloween, I have planned a creative project, to capture the season. In 2020 – the story of a witch and her black stallion – in 2021 the ghost bride and her white horse who roam the grounds of an old castle – in 2022 I delved into old myths and legend at a stone circle and in 2023 the woman in black. This year, the storyline follows the ghost of a girl, lost in the forest with her horse & only the light of a candle to guide her way.
This blog is a sneak preview into the styling of this shoot – I am so exited to share with you the final video at 7pm BST this evening (25th October) on Instagram and Facebook. Please do take a look & share with others who you think may enjoy it.
