Windsor Park is truly a stunning location with a rich history dating back to the 13th century. The long and illustrious past, impressive heritage and beautiful surroundings draws in excess of 5million visitors per year. The long walk, leading to Windsor castle is so widely recognised – it is a location I have been dreaming of photographing for years.

Well, last week it happened! Honestly, we couldn’t have wished for a more perfect day – I am so exited to share with you what truly was a very special shoot.

The first location we headed to was of course the long walk. where we captured the shot at the head of this blog. Throughout the shoot we had the most gorgeous soft light, then as we went into the trees, lining the long walk, the most beautiful beam of sunlight shone through, creating a beautiful dappled light where Sophie and Harvey were standing. This instantly became one of my favourite shots.

Facing the other way up the long walk, the beautiful copper horse (a statue of George III) dominates the backdrop.

Throughout the park, there are tranquil ponds dotted around – The prince of Wales pond pictured above can even be ridden through.

On our way back towards the perimeter of the park, we came across a number of deer. The deer at Windsor are so used to seeing people, meaning they are unbelievably tame. as we went to pass, they all raised their heads, which made for the perfect shot.

The above image was the final shot I took on this shoot. I spotted this beautiful old tree from a distance as we walked back to the trailer and just loved the light beaming through from behind. The perfect way to conclude a stunning shoot!
