The Badminton Horse Trials is widely regarded as a prolific event in the equestrian calendar. Established in 1949, 2024 marked the event’s 75th anniversary.

Badminton will forever hold a special place in my heart. Each year, it marks the transition from winter to summer & becomes a date I count down to during the coldest days of winter. In many ways this is even more applicable this year, as the weather has been so bleak & yet the sun shone on Badminton!

My 2024 Badminton week started with a shoot for Holland Cooper & the riders wearing their beautiful riding wear. Pictured above is Jade Holland Cooper, with Laura Collet & her horse Hester.

Wednesday was Meg & Jam’s day to shine & my goodness they did. Starting with a beautiful clear showjumping round, where Jam absolutely soared over the 1m fences.

XC time and once again, this pair absolutely flew!

The celebration between Megan Elphick & Hannah Francis, when they realise Meg has secured a top 10 placing!

Tina and Banksy were amazing in the 90cm class, securing 7th place!

Trot up Time & the winner of the Best Dressed competition – Rosie Fry – dressed head to toe in Welligogs.

More images above can be seen of the shoot with Rosie & Romantic for Welligogs.

After the trot up, it was time for Meg’s prize presentation in-front of Badminton house. Jam so small but mighty alongside the other horses in the 1m class.

Throughout the week, Welligogs and I ran a competition together, giving people the chance to win an equine photo shoot & £600 Welligogs voucher (If you entered, do check my Instagram page to see if you were our lucky winner).

XC Day shots for Le Mieux – My goodness the weather was incredible (I am writing this on Thursday 16th May, as the rain pours once again outside).

And the winner of Badminton horse trials 2024… Caroline Powell & her stunning horse Greenacres Special Cavalier (pictured above & below in her stunning Welligogs trot up outfit)

WOW – what a week it has been! putting this together has been a lovely way to reflect on what is my favourite event of the year. I can’t wait for 2025!
